Meet the kidpreneurs.
Curtis has the big idea. Starr is all in. Together they open the Ice Pop Shop — and learn that flavours are the easy part.
The story
It's melting hot the day Starr meets the new kid, Curtis. They both want bikes, and together they hatch a terrific idea: become kidpreneurs and open an Ice Pop Shop to earn the money. Easy!
Except running a business turns out to be TRICKY. They have to work out their ideas, listen to a mentor, learn how to budget, and survive disasters. As the weather gets hotter, can they deliver the ice pops they promised their community — or will the friendship and the whole enterprise melt?
Inspired by author Janna Dutton's own business experience, Ice Pop Shop is a funny, rapid-read chapter book — at home as a family read-aloud or a classroom novel study with free lesson plans to match.
